Examinations are the benchmark for measuring the technical ability of a pupil and their progress in a subject.

Pupils do not have to take exams, but they are highly popular. All our pupils tend to take them, enjoying the feeling of application and the sense of achievement and technical development as they progress.

Exams can be taken from the age of 5 upwards. We strive for pupils to reach Advanced 2 level by the time they leave at 18.

Exam sessions
There are 3 exam sessions each year - in the Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Pupils will be entered to take their exams once a year, or when the teachers feel they have mastered the examination board’s requirements fully.

Dupont Dance Stage School is affiliated to the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) for ballet and the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) for tap, modern, national and classical Greek.

The RAD and the ISTD are accredited by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, and the Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET).
