About us

Dupont Dance Stage School was founded by Janette Dupont in the late fifties and is now one of the leading stage schools in the country.

We offer the highest standard of teaching in all aspects of dance, drama and musical theatre in a warm, friendly and professional atmosphere. The strength of this approach is reflected in our excellent examination and competition results and record of success in the profession.

We offer weekly classes to children from the age of 3 to 18 years as well as some adult classes. Please click here to see all the classes available.

A happy and caring environment

We appreciate that children take up dance or drama classes as their hobby and we feel that their happiness is of primary importance.

To this end, we endeavour to create a happy and caring environment, which in turn, provides a sound foundation for their social development and encourages growth in self-confidence.

A place to pursue a career in dance

Equally important, for those who might want to pursue a career in dance and musical theatre, we have the expertise to provide them with the best possible training.

Pupils are encouraged to sit examinations in key subjects on a yearly basis. About a quarter participate in major dance festivals around the country including the prestigious All England Dance Finals, the English and the British Dance Championships.
